Welcome to the Maryland Society of Histotechnologists website.

We hope that our members will use this website for educational information, upcoming events and meetings, and to perhaps participate in sharing your specialty and/or techniques or stain procedures. Photographs are also welcome, featuring different tissues and stains, your Laboratory, or close up hand shots of embedding, coverslipping, etc.  Also if you have any job position openings, you can send them to the for posting.

In May 2009, nominations and elections will be held.  Please seriously think of qualified nominees. 

Qualifications: 
An officer must have been an active member in good standing for one year immediately prior to election.......  meaning ... having been a member of The Maryland Society of Histotechnologists for one year prior to May 2009 and having paid your dues in 2008 and 2009. 

The office of President will be vacated by me, Terri DeCarli, in May of 2009.  It is time that someone new, fresh and dedicated take over and move the Society forward. 

The office of Treasurer will also be vacated by Carolyn Durkowski...... 

Membership dues were due January 1, 2009.
